About me
I did not grow up in a family of “luxury travelers.”  My dad was in the Army and we moved often.  My parents would pack us up in the station wagon Dad had shipped over and drive us all over Europe. European streets were not made for large American station wagons and we received lots of stares and head shaking. Luxury travel this was not!

The first time I experienced luxury travel was on a visit to China—and it showed me how relaxing, rejuvenating, and inspiring a journey could really be.

For almost thirty years I worked in Washington, D.C. on Capitol Hill, arranging travel for various members of Congress and other VIPs. I got to go on this China visit as a guest of the Chinese Ministry of Tourism.  From the moment we boarded the bus to go to the airport, we were totally pampered. Our luggage was whisked away and magically appeared in our room every evening.  Our first-class seats allowed us to rest and relax on the long flight from Washington, DC to Beijing.

But it wasn’t so much the extra “things” they provided—it was the smile on their faces, the willingness of everyone to answer questions, their local knowledge, and their thoughtfulness. I’m sure problems came up, but we never knew about them because they worked diligently behind the scenes to keep our trip running smoothly.  All we had to do was relax and enjoy once-in-a-lifetime travel experiences—like a train ride through Tibet on the highest railway in the world.

From this trip—and my 30 years planning travel for political VIPs—I learned the importance of attending to the smallest details and proactively avoiding potential problems to make a trip run smoothly. Little personal touches and having someone to turn to when something went wrong eased the stress on weary travelers.

Running my own luxury travel agency allows me to use my years of travel experience, passion for customer service, and network of local suppliers to design unique travel experiences for you.
Why I love my job
For me, planning a trip is almost more fun than actually taking the trip. I love designing unique itineraries for my clients that let them experience the culture and beauty of a place.
Favorite Destinations
Italy, Australia, Iceland and New Zealand have been my favorite destinations so far. I have a passion for photography and all of them are not only visually stunning but the people are warm and friendly. In the US, I love Southern Utah for its unique landscapes.
About my most memorable vacation
I had the opportunity to visit Tibet by train from Xining to Lhasa. It is the highest railroad in the world. The views were stunning and you were able to see the nomadic way of life of the people. I was struck by the dedication of the pilgrims who walk to Lhasa and circle the city’s temples multiple times praying.
