You dream of a culturally enriching adventure somewhere, and I can help you step out into the world to enjoy it.
About me
The foundation of my travel expertise is my time living in Europe. I resided there for 20 years. In that time, I traveled extensively throughout the continent. I also broadened my horizons to include the state of Alaska. I have found great pleasure in planning and leading travel for groups, whether they be family events, exploring Alaska, dance cruises or wine-theme river cruises. It is always a joy to share a great travel experience with others, especially when it is their first time heading to a destination.
Why I love my job
When People reach out to me for help and advice In planning their long held desire to travel, it is wonderful for me to know I am helping them realize a dream.
Favorite Destinations
Certainly, my favorite destinations are the regions of Bordeaux, Burgundy, and Provence in France. Aside from the fascinating history of these areas that is full of intrigue and drama, there is probably no other place on earth where you can enjoy such a magnificent combination of Beautiful scenery, wonderful food, fabulous wine, and an amazing friendly culture!
About my most memorable vacation
Carcassonne, France definitely stands out as my most memorable vacation. I found it to be a wonderful, peaceful place for those wanting to experience the medieval history of France. I stayed in a lovely 3-star hotel, enjoyed meals at restaurants offering delicious provincial cuisine, and wandered through the many shops and boutiques. Because all of these sites are located in original medieval structures and are still within the old town walls it was like stepping back in time. I was awed during my visit. The Carcassonne Castle, itself, is one of the largest and most intact that I have ever visited in Europe. But not far away are other sites such as the castle ruins at Saissac and Lastours that will give you even more French history experiences and allow you to do some hiking as well.
