Turning Tourists into Travelers
About me
I began traveling internationally in my teens. I spent six months studying and traveling in Australia and New Zealand. As an adult, I have continued exploring the world while fueling my passion for giving back. As a Girl Scout leader for over 10 years, I firmly believe in “making the world a better place” - one of the ten points of the Girl Scout Law. Over the last four years, I have traveled to Haiti working in a local village promoting better health, education and improved living conditions. Wanderlove Travel is combination of my love of travel and my desire to positively impact the world one traveler at a time.
Why I love my job
After 10 years as a financial analyst and 10 more as a stay at home mom, I began my "Act Three" - combining my love for travel with my organizational skills, attention to detail and my desire to help people achieve their travel dreams.
Favorite Destinations
I hold a very special place in my heart for Australia. As a college student, I spent 6 months studying and traveling there. The people are incredibly welcoming and the land is biodiverse. One of the coolest things I experienced in Australia was sailing the Whitsunday Islands for three days - blue water, white sand and water that lights up when you dive in at night - magical!! I recently was able to return to Australia as a guest of Tourism Australia. I returned to the Whitsunday Islands and they were as magical today as they were 25 years ago!!
About my most memorable vacation
Our family just returned from a unique cruising experience. We traveled on the Fathom Adonia to the Dominican Republic. While docked, we were able to participate in various impact activities including making water filters for those needing access to clean water and working with women in a cooperative making recycled paper and paper crafts. This experience combined our family's love of travel with our desire to give back to the places we visit.
