About me

Thank you for visiting my Travel Profile! My name is Alyssa J. Stevens and I have been a Travel Advisor for approximately five years though I have been traveling for approximately 35, both domestically and internationally. In all, I have visited two US Territories, three Continents, 25 Countries and 36 States plus our Nation's Capital! To say travel is my passion is an understatement.

Some of the destinations I treasure include Costa Rica where I introduced many students to their first international travel experience, England where I spent a most transformative semester abroad as a student living and traveling, Poland where I experienced our world's history first hand and Trinidad & Tobago where I celebrated a milestone birthday hosted by a local family!

My credentials include an undergraduate degree in Communications - Public Relations (BFA), a graduate degree in English - Teaching of Writing (MA), Travel Advisor Studies through the Travel Leaders of Tomorrow Program (TLOT) and a Verified Travel Advisor (VTA) designation from the American Society of Travel Advisors (ASTA). I hold specializations in many destinations throughout the Caribbean, Central America and Mexico as well as was recognized as one of ASTA's Travel Advisors of the Year 2020.

Why I love my job

Prior to joining the Travel Industry I worked for a unique Study Abroad and Global Studies degree program at Long Island University recruiting, advising, enrolling and even, escorting students abroad for a decade. Our international campuses traversed the globe and included stops in Australia, China, India, Japan, South Africa, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey and more! My study abroad experience through this exact program allowed me to share my experiences and encourage others to have their own transformational adventures! I continue to do so to date as an Independent Travel Advisor with a focus on special occasion travel for individuals and groups.

We have yet to get there due to the covid pandemic ..Alyssa has been amazing throughout this time keeping us updated on travel restrictions _airport protocols .. she has all the most updated information re all the above .. Alyssa is extremely friendly , not to mention very thorough as well as extremely passionate and knowledgeable about travel .. if you book with Alyssa you wont be disappointed!!
