About me
Travel and exploring our planet is an enriching and personal experience, everyone has different reasons for travel whether its for relaxation, education, to reconnect with family or themselves.
Personally, traveling is about enriching the soul, learning more about our planet and ways to conserve it, to come close to nature and wildlife, experiencing things in their natural environment.
My favorite styles of travel include expedition and small ship cruising, small group tours and independant customized journeys.
Why I love my job
Favorite Destinations
In 2008, I spent 5 weeks in South America exploring the Galapagos Islands and trekking through Peru including hiking the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu; staying with a local family on Lake Titicaca; exploring the historic city of Arequipa and the surrounding area of the Colca Canyon; and finally, a week in the Amazon! This particular journey made me realize a passion for nature and wildlife travel, challenged me physically and brought me out of my comfort zone forced to learn how to get by on what little Spanish I knew!
In December 2009 I was fortunate enough to journey to the Australian and New Zealand sub-Antarctic islands on a 2 week voyage with Orion Expedition Cruises. Cruising from Hobart to Bluff, the experience was life changing. Exploring places like Maqcaurie Island and the Snares, landing on beaches where thousands of penguins reside along with Elephant seals and other species of birds. Learning from various photographers, researchers, marine biologists and other specialists - an unforgettable experience!
About my most memorable vacation
I recently returned from Churchill Manitoba with Natural Habitat Adventures on their Classic Polar Bear trip - we spent 3 days on the tundra coming face to face with the polar bears, learning Canadian history, the Native culture and about the northern climate.
