About me
Hi, there! Thank you for stopping by Connections by O’Brien Travel, LLC (formally, known as O’Brien Family Time Travel & Romantic Time Travel.) I started my career in 1981 after graduating from Travel Education Center. I’ve held many positions throughout my career helping clients with their business and vacation plans. In 2008, I started my own successful full-service travel agency, focusing on family vacations, groups and romance travel.

Lots have changed in the travel industry since I started my career. But, there_`s one thing that hasn_`t changed, that is my commitment to my clients. By keeping up on the latest industry trends, attending webinars and yearly workshops, completing certification programs, and traveling to site inspections: all this helps me make sure that I have the right destination and the right resort that will be the best fit for you.
Why I love my job
Being able to travel to other places and learn about the cultures and destinations and then have the opportunity to share that with my clients and help them do the same is awesome. The world is a pretty amazing place with so many options to choose from whether you are a beach person, someone that loves nature with all the National Parks, Rain forests, hiking trails, etc. or into history. There's something for everyone!

It gives me great pleasure to have clients come back from a vacation, family reunion, honeymoon, destination wedding, etc. and hear them raved about what a wonderful time that they had and all the great memories that were made and cherished for a lifetime!
Favorite Destinations
Picking a favorite destination is a tough one, there's SO many great destinations! There's a the time that I hiked parts of Haleakala Crater in Maui, climbed to the top of Diamond Head in Maui, hiked downed the Grand Canyon and stayed overnight to hiking the Half Dome a couple of times in Yosemite National Park. I have to say probably the top destination is when I went with some of my colleagues on a special hiking & biking trip in Switzerland. The views on top of the Alps were just breath taking and making one want to burst out into a Julie Andrews song! Being on top of Jungfrau Joch, the tallest mountain in Europe, and walking through the Ice Castle was pretty spectacular as well! In the Caribbean, my favorite two destinations is St. Lucia and Grenada...very lush tropical islands with waterfalls, rain forests, and lots of out door activities to do.
About my most memorable vacation
Just came back from Cabo, Mexico after attending the Love Mexico Romance Travel Conference (Dec. 2017.) Prior to the conference, I took a private water taxi and views the Los Arcos up close and watched the seals and feed the colorful fish. The BEST part of the trip was watching the Turtle Release at the Sandos Finisterra Resort, it was AMAZING watching all those baby turtles instinctively making their way back to the ocean!
