Health & Safety Guidelines

ASTA is committed to providing all attendees with a safe experience during our in-person events. As of October 1st, 2021, ASTA requires proof of full COVID-19 vaccination to attend our events or a negative COVID-19 PCR test 72 hours prior to the start of the event.

This page will be updated frequently and will include information about how we're working to keep you safe. By registering for an ASTA Event, attendees will be asked to agree to the Terms and Conditions<  set forth by ASTA.

Must Know Information

ASTA Event Covid-19 Policies*

Vaccination
One of the following will be required at onsite registration at any ASTA Event.

    • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination (A clear photo of your vaccination card is acceptable.)
      • One is considered fully vaccinated fourteen (14) days after the second dose in a two-dose series, such as the Pfizer, Moderna and AstraZeneca vaccines, or twenty-eight (28) days after a single-dose vaccine, such as the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
    • An official letter of recovery within the last three months from a licensed medical professional
    • A negative PCR COVID-19 test result from a test taken no more than seventy-two (72) hours prior to arrival at registration

Masks

Masks are not mandatory at ASTA events.

Positive Case at Event

If you begin experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 or a positive test result while onsite at an ASTA event, you are required to quarantine in your hotel room immediately and call ASTA Staff at +1-203-247-7184. Any spouse or roommate who has been staying in your room with you is also required to quarantine for forty-eight (48) hours, upon which time they will be required to take a COVID-19 test and receive a negative result to end quarantine. ASTA Staff will assist in securing a separate room for your spouse or roommate if required. All costs incurred due to quarantine will be at the attendee’s own expense.

*Please note, local destination guidelines and policies supersede ASTA’s Covid-19 policies. The policies above may change depending on the event location.


We strongly urge all attendees to adhere to the recommended safety protocols, including frequent handwashing and maintaining a six-foot distance from other attendees. Feel free to give as many air high-fives and waves as you want!

Posting photos or videos on social media is a great way to show your audience how to safely travel! If you document any part of your journey to, during, and from any of ASTA’s events, please make sure your social media posts reflect that you are observing health and safety practices such as social distancing and wearing a mask.
