Louis de Joux

Director of Leisure Sales & Specialty Channels, American Airlines

Louis de Joux is the Director of Leisure Sales & Specialty Channels at American Airlines. In this role, he leads the airline’s sales strategy for leisure and specialty channels, including tour operators, cruise lines, student travel companies and luxury leisure agencies.

A lifelong aviation enthusiast, Louis started his airline career at British Airways in London in 2006, where he held a variety of roles in Revenue Management, Network Planning and Corporate Sales. In 2010, Louis moved to New York City to lead the launch of the Atlantic Joint Business partnership between American Airlines, British Airways, Iberia and Finnair.

Since joining American in 2014, Louis quickly advanced through a number of roles on both the Finance and Alliances & Partnerships teams, where, most recently, he led the company’s partnership efforts with Japan Airlines and China Southern Airlines. 

Originally from France, Louis earned his Bachelor of Commerce at McGill University in Montreal, Canada, and later received a Master of Science with a focus in Air Transport Management from Cranfield University in the UK.
