Join us at the historic National Press Club for the unveiling of our research study on consumer travel demand and travel advisor booking trends. All attendees are welcome!

ASTA's President & CEO, Zane Kerby will deliver opening remarks and our special guest Eric Drésin, the Secretary General of the European Travel Agents’ and Tour Operators’ Associations, ECTAA, will provide an update on the European market. Our partners at the Sports & Leisure Research Group will also review the key findings from our consumer research study and an esteemed panel of travel industry professionals will add their perspective to the travel industry's forecast.

  • Directions & Location: Transportation is on your own. Please review parking, Metro, and drop-off locations here. The address is 529 14th Street NW, Washington, DC 20045. The event is being held in the main ballroom on the 13th floor which can be accessed via elevator. Please plan some extra time for getting through security.
  • Proof of Vaccination Required: All participants, guests and attendees are expected be fully vaccinated before coming to the National Press Club. Visitors will be asked to provide proof of vaccination, along with a government issued photo identification, prior to entry.

 Legislative Day Training - Beginner Track - Capitol Hill 101 and the Importance of Grassroots Advocacy

Whether a first timer or a veteran, all are welcome to this session about the basics to Capitol Hill… and who’s really in charge. We will begin with the layout of House and Senate buildings (i.e. how they are numbered, how to get to and from, etc.). Then we will walk you through the organizational structure of staff within the offices and what outcomes you can expect after meeting.

Intended for all Legislative Day attendees, this session will review the basics for our congressional “fly-in,” the ingredients for a successful congressional meeting, what messages resonate the most and how to ensure ASTA issues rise to the top. We will get into the policy weeds and provide the latest intelligence and key messages on the issues attendees will discuss in their congressional meetings. In short, you’ll learn everything you need to know to make your congressional meeting a success. Sponsored by Israel Ministry of Tourism.
