How America Travel ASTA’s 2018 Consumer Research - Summary
Funded by Carnival Corporation & plc, the 2018 version of “How America Travels” provides key insights into the travel ecosystem, including emerging trends related to the use of “sharing economy” services, new daylight into the consumer travel planning and booking processes, factors that help turn non-cruisers into cruisers and changing consumer needs as travel agents transition to travel advisors. The study reached 2,879 American Millennials, Gen Xers and Boomers, including both consumers who did and did not use a travel advisor in the past 12 months. The results, we hope, will help ASTA members better communicate their value proposition when marketing themselves to potential new and existing clients.
