About me

Carolyn Olk is the owner of Amber Roads Travel. She's been traveling all of her life and lived in Europe for a short while. She married a member of the Air Force and spent a few years in Asia, with her home base in Okinawa. She has passed the wanderlust gene on to her two teenage boys. Chris and Phil always ask when the next trip is going to be! And somewhere along the way, she picked up her fur baby, Allie.

Why I love my job

I have a passion for travel and experiencing new things. Meeting people, taking photos and learning a about a new culture is what inspires me. I want to share that passion.

Favorite Destinations

One favorite is Northern Europe, because my ancestors come from there. I love Italy for the sheer beauty of the country and people. Lastly, I'm in awe of the dramatic coast line of the Pacific Northwest.

About my most memorable vacation

My most memorable vacation was a mad dash through Asia. For 28 days, we visited South Korea, Hong Kong, China and Thailand. There are no words that can describe how incredible those countries are or how different each culture is. It must be seen to be believed.
