About me
Hello, my name is Stefanie Pichonnat-Christen, and I am the owner and travel consultant at AAV Travel & Romance.

In my eyes, each client is unique and deserves a vacation that matches their personality, lifestyle, and dreams. I firmly believe that traveling should be relaxing and enriching at the same time. It should allow you to escape from the daily routine but also grow because of the new experiences you make. It is up to my clients whether that means finding a bit of themselves, reconnecting with a loved one, or pushing their limits.
Why I love my job
Travel is an integral part of me. I grew up in Switzerland and started venturing out early. My background in hospitality management allowed me to work in several different countries before settling in the Midwest. I love nothing more than sharing my passion for travel and allowing clients to experience new destinations, not only the must-see sights but also off the beaten path.
Favorite Destinations
I love them all, but my favorites all have similarities. They are lush and green. New Zealand, the UK, Costa Rica, all fit that bill. Then again, I'd venture to say that Tahiti is the real paradise on earth.
About my most memorable vacation
There are so many, and it's hard to pick favorites. I love getting lost hiking in the Lake District, just as much as I am amazed about nature when swimming with a wild dolphin pod in Hawai'i, or tasting a meal at a stranger's house, somewhere in the Yucatan peninsula, after getting lost.
